Achimota Centre for Children with Autism Barrie -

Thank you for the incredible amount of support received at the recent Family Fun Day.  We are happy that so many families were able to attend the event!  Based on the overwhelming amount of positive feedback, we have already booked the location again for next year.  Thank you to the media for helping us spread the word about the event and building awareness!

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!  We are inviting the autism community, friends, family and neighbours to come and celebrate World Autism Awarenss Day.  We will be celebrating and building awareness on Sunday, April 05, 2009 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm.  For a $2.00 donation to the Achimota Centre for Children with Autism, you can drop by and enjoy the facilities at Bulldog Interactive Fitness for Youth.  This facility has lots of fun activities including a Treadwall, Dance Machines and Game Bikes as well as other great activities in the gymnasium.  This fundraising event will have lots of prizes available from our raffle draw and a barbeque with M & M Meat Shops.  Come out and support the Achimota Centre for Children with Autism with your friends, family and neighbours!  Bulldog Interactive Fitness for Youth is located at 11 King Street, Unit 1 & 2 in Barrie. Thank you to Sticky Fingers Bar & Grill, staff and patrons for your generosity!  The Centre was able to raise $200.00.  Achimota Centre plans on making this an annual event so hope to see you next year for wings! 

On Saturday, February 07, 2009 Sticky Fingers Bar & Grill will be donating $2.00 from every order of wings to raise money for the Achimota Centre for Children with Autism.  The event will take place from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.  So while you are downtown enjoying Barrie’s Winterfest, remember to drop by Sticky Fingers Bar & Grill for some wings, located at 199 Essa Road in Barrie.
